About Walkerton Parks
The Walkerton Parks Department manages more than 60 acres of park land and open space in Walkerton, Indiana. We offer a wide variety of recreational programs, activities, and special events each year, serving over 1,500 children annually through park programs, free events, activities, and park amenities.
“Nobody can do everything, but everyone can do something.”

Our Mission
Walkerton Parks Department includes 5 parks — Scarbrough Park, Soccer Plex, Place Park, Urey Park, and Water Tower Fields — perfect for relaxing, recreation, picnics, family gatherings, and special events. All parks are open dawn to dusk and are tobacco-free facilities.
Through the generosity of donors, volunteers, and supporters, Walkerton Parks and Recreation will be in our community for future generations to continue to enjoy for years to come. We are always looking for new programs to add and welcome community input on programming ideas.
